Website #1

http://www.literactive.com/

An excellent teaching resource for both teachers and parents that is free.  However, you will need to register in order to participate in what the site has to offer.  You will find reading material that is level guided for pre-school, kindergarten and also grade 1 students.  Parents, especially, like Literactive as an online learning tool as it helps them take their early learner on an interactive journey on The Road to Reading.  In addition to that, teachers find a huge amount of learning activities at their disposal to download and print for extra practice, in individual or whole classroom settings.  Equally important,  is the inclusion of a Spanish version of the guided readers for those who use it as their primary language.

I believe this website could be one of the most popular ones used by teachers as is it especially helpful in exposing small class groups around the computer to interactive poetry, electronic picture books of traditional stories, and because of all the downloadable worksheets and activities that are available for students needing material in specific areas of concentration.   The website's main goal is to provide both teachers and parents with a helpful place to search for additional teaching tools in a variety of available material that grabs the attention and engages the minds of students working alone or in small classroom groups.
